The PAÇO DO CONDE group currently cultivates 4,000 hectares of agricultural land in the lower Alentejo, owning 2,700 hectares of the total area farmed. Olive oil production, which complements the wine offerings of SAEG, began in 2005 and since 2007 has had its own facilities, a mill equipped with the best technology and capable of processing 270 tons of olives per day. The wine production from the winery is divided between two brands: "Herdade Paço do Conde" and "Herdade das Albernoas." The success of the wines Herdade do Paço do Conde and Herdade das Albernoas has been consistently demonstrated by the reviews and preferences of national consumers who increasingly favor them. In 2002, the AGRÍCOLA ENCOSTA DO GUADIANA SOCIETY (SAEG) was established in its winemaking aspect as a producer of wines from the southern Alentejo with the brands Herdade do Paço do Conde and Herdade das Albernoas.
