In the 1980s, I assembled and sold container exchange systems, as well as containers and waste compactors. Many of my suppliers manufactured the container and waste compactor parts themselves at that time, and the outsourcing of components and parts began to spread in the industry. After several years of groundwork, we gained some larger customers in the early 1990s. From 1996 onwards, I focused on the distribution of spare parts and founded Rewald GmbH. In the workshops of waste disposal companies, it was the case that only the current container supplier could provide their spare parts. However, since most had purchased their roll-off containers and bins from 10 to 20 different container suppliers, many of whom no longer existed or could not deliver, the workshop had to manufacture the required spare parts in custom production. This was a very time-consuming and costly endeavor. Most container manufacturers at that time also did not have a spare parts catalog, leading to repeated delivery errors and misunderstandings with orders. With the release of the first catalog in 1996, workshops had the opportunity to order container spare parts according to their wishes for the first time. They could refer to existing measurements for custom productions and no longer had to describe the desired parts over the phone. Since most parts were produced in series, they could be offered at a low price, which was very positively received by customers, as the parts were quickly available and the custom production in-house was eliminated. Waste compactor parts made it into the catalog because leading manufacturers repeatedly faced delivery problems. There are still several thousand waste compactors on the market, but the manufacturers have not existed for over 10 years. In 2012, Rewald GmbH merged with HZE Hebezeuge Eberswalde GmbH. In 2012, we expanded our product range to include baler parts, which we have been continuously developing since then. In the coming years, we see our export focus here, as well as in providing baler spare parts from foreign manufacturers. The idea also emerged in 2012 to fundamentally revise locks and fittings on roll-off containers to achieve greater safety, cost reduction, and durability, and to enable a quick change in case of repairs. After many customer discussions, continuous testing for more than 2 years, DEKRA testing, and BG assessments, we can offer you 10 new container assemblies starting in 2016, which generate high added value for every waste disposal company. In 1999, our own production was established in Poland to tap into the largest European market with 106 container manufacturers as suppliers and to achieve better quality and flexibility for the German market.
