The Cuscunà oil mill, founded in 1904, has been in the olive oil sector for four generations. It owns several olive groves at the foot of Mount Etna, in a protected origin area. We are a supply chain company and oversee all processing stages of the product. From cultivation, to harvesting, to pressing, to packaging. Our olive groves are located in Sicily, in the following provinces, at the foot of Mount Etna. The cultivar: Nocellara Etnea. A versatile cultivar as it is suitable for producing extra virgin olive oil with very low acidity, as well as for processing table olives. "Our oil is 100% Italian." The production process begins with the cultivation of olive trees on owned land. Our company cultivates without the use of pesticides! The harvesting is done by hand, ensuring higher quality of the final product and preserving both the tree and the fruit itself. The extraction, the pressing, takes place cold within 8-12 hours after harvesting. This is a crucial step in guaranteeing a high-quality product. Storage occurs in special aseptic stainless steel containers, where natural sedimentation takes place; subsequently, the extra virgin olive oil is stored in stainless steel silos, awaiting packaging. The historic Cuscunà company is the only one offering the opportunity to adopt one or more olive trees.
