My name is Henrik Boman. After completing my high school diploma, I trained as a merchant in wholesale and foreign trade for wood and building materials at Raab Karcher. In my professional life, I have worked as a consultant and provider for large construction projects such as residential parks, larger residential and commercial buildings, and shopping centers. My contacts include architects, buyers, project managers, senior construction managers, executing companies, and the international construction industry. Later, I worked in project development for photovoltaic systems starting from 300 KW, with the largest facility being in Nohra at 5.5 MW. At that time, I organized a round table on renewable energies with various speakers. At an event in 2007, Professor Zivny spoke about the future of LED lighting, the electronic light with very high energy efficiency, as well as the European Eco-Design Directive, which resulted in legal regulations regarding when and which gas light sources would be banned from sale. My enthusiasm for LED lighting was sparked 100%, and I spoke with my boss, who supported the idea that we should seriously address the topic. I wanted to first understand what light is, what our eyes can see, what occupational safety regulations apply, and the meanings of certifications such as ENEC, VDE, TÜV, DEKRA, GS, and CE.
