The history of the company is that of a typical family business in the 20th century. Founded in 1927 by Peter Konrad and his son Peter-Josef Konrad (both carpenters), the son separated from his father 10 years later and began manufacturing and installing roller shutters on Kälkstrasse. During the war years, both workshops were completely destroyed by bombings, and rebuilding began immediately. In 1959, the current business premises were built on Sebastianusstrasse, and over the following years, extensions and renovations were added (workshops, storage rooms, additional floors, and offices). 75 years after its founding, Konrad now sees itself as a modern service provider for all needs around the home. Significant investments have been made in IT, and a modern inventory management system ensures an overview of the wide product range. The 20-member 'Konrad Team' is motivated and highly trained. Under the management of Ralf-Peter Konrad, the traditional family business from Euskirchen is well-prepared to enter the 21st century in its fourth generation. For a long time, Konrad has been regarded as a specialist shop for home needs in the Euskirchen area. Its customers include numerous craft businesses and thousands of residents from Euskirchen who greatly appreciate high levels of advice and the best product quality.
