Juliaan was in his late thirties when he founded his own company in 1985. Juri, indeed. Starting with just one employee. Not long after, that number grew to two. Three. Four. Shortly before that, he had stepped down as CEO avant-la-lettre at the company Vehent. Juliaan had enthusiastically dived into the construction industry ten years earlier. He swam and worked hard. Tirelessly. He was a go-getter. Juliaan earned his stripes at Vehent and learned valuable lessons there. Until he took pen and paper to outline his ideas and wishes. Writing, he encountered obstacles and sensitive points, but also unprecedented opportunities and new dreams. Juliaan was strict with himself. He rewrote his plan until everything fit on one page, from idea to approach to conclusion. The next day, he picked up the pen again. And again, until he thought it was good enough.
