JPA Fördertechnik has specialized in the handling of difficult-flowing bulk materials for many years. As one of the first companies in the industry, it has significantly shaped technical development since the early silo and discharge systems and is regarded more than ever as an industry expert. In 1962, master locksmith and blacksmith Johann Pöllhuber founded JPA in Altmünster, specializing in steel construction and custom solutions of all kinds. At that time, sawdust in sawmills was moved by hand using a rod. Since 1971, JPA has been developing and building silo discharges, thus establishing itself as one of the first experts in the industry for the construction of systems for difficult-flowing bulk materials. In the 1980s, more and more people desired automated heating systems to avoid the tedious task of refueling. During this time, the first conveyor machines were developed, and fuels were produced in large quantities for the first time. In 1990, JPA launched its first discharge systems on the market. In 1993, Ing. Erwin Traweger joined the company and began distributing services and products throughout Europe. In 1996, Ing. Erwin Traweger took over JPA Fördertechnik, and the company relocated to a more spacious site in Rutzenmoos. Since 2000, JPA Fördertechnik has been focusing even more on in-house innovations. The modern discharges are designed to be applicable for new materials—whether biomass or special materials—and for additional industries. Today, more than one hundred major customers in Austria and the European region rely on the high competence and product quality of the systems from JPA Fördertechnik.
