Customized solutions are produced in the shortest possible time. 100 Years of Family Business The Cologne-based traditional company JOSEF VOM HÖVEL Rheinischer Hebezeug-Vertrieb GmbH celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2019. One hundred years ago, merchant Josef vom Hövel laid the foundation for a successful business career by registering his company in the Cologne commercial register. At the beginning of 1962, merchant Karl Schumacher acquired the business and continued it as the sole owner until the sole proprietorship was converted into a limited partnership in 1978. Since 1986, the company has been operated as a GmbH. His grandson Joachim Kreimer, who has been with the company since 1975, has been managing the business since 1980. 100 Years of Progress and Expansion The original business was the sale of lifting equipment, pumps, and transport devices to industrial companies and craftsmen. Over time, the product range has developed extraordinarily and now includes (see product group directory), as well as a rental service and online product presentation (online shop). As an additional service, an e-procurement system and data service are offered to reduce customer procurement costs. Due to the expansion of the product range, the existing warehouse space at the old address on Kartäuserwall in Cologne's Südstadt was no longer sufficient. Additionally, there were significant parking issues for customers. Therefore, it was decided to relocate the business at the beginning of 1986. In early June 1986, JOSEF VOM HÖVEL moved to its new location in the Cologne-Ossendorf industrial area. For all regularly required UVV inspections, the HÖVEL inspection service is available.
