IXINA originated from a brand created in Belgium in 1971, under the name Electro-Cash, which primarily aimed to sell household appliances, audio, and video equipment through a discount store network. As early as 1977, the brand began selling kitchen kits and later, custom kitchens. After a few years, it became the number one in equipped kitchens in Belgium. In 1995, Electro-Cash decided to give a brand name to its kitchens: IXINA. Two years later, the company established a distribution brand for equipped kitchens tailored to the French market, under the name IXINA. In 2000, the IXINA distribution concept was reintroduced in Belgium, with a gradual adaptation of the existing Electro-Cash stores. In 2003, Electro-Cash joined the international group Snaidero, the 5th largest European production group in the equipped kitchen sector. In January 2005, the entire network of Belgian stores was converted to the IXINA brand.
