INEGI is a company that designs, manufactures, and tests thermal and mechanical hardware for spacecraft. We create 3D models of blankets, ensuring that the critical areas of the spacecraft subsystem are fully covered by MLI (Multi-layer insulation). Each space mission has its challenges and requirements; part of the MLI supply is to certify that the blankets survive the hostile environment of the mission. We use paper models or manufacture representative mock-ups in Portugal to ensure and verify the perfect fit in the actual flight hardware. INEGI can test your blankets under a wide variety of thermal and mechanical environments. The manufacturing of blankets takes place in an ISO 7 clean room, where INEGI's highly specialized production team produces the complete blanket, tests it, inspects it, and packages it, ready for shipment to the customer in dedicated transport containers. At the customer's facilities, we integrate the blankets into the spacecraft or subsystem.
