INDOTEC Doppelbodensysteme GmbH, founder Herbert Spitz. The core business is the delivery and installation of raised floors and hollow floors, control room floors, cable floors for office, bank, server, electrical, and technical rooms. Raised floors are installation floors made from a raised floor substructure with height-adjustable steel supports and support panels. These are made from wood-based materials, calcium sulfate, or metal. A raised floor refers to a second floor above the actual floor of the room. Under the raised floor, installations for communication, electricity, water, etc. are laid. Raised floors also serve for climate control/ventilation of a room. Access to the installations under the raised floor is easy, as every point in the room beneath the raised floor remains freely accessible by removing the panels. A "suction lifter" or a "claw lifter" is used to lift the panels. In control room floors, support profiles (C-profiles) are securely screwed to raised floor supports according to VDE 100, thus achieving a firm connection between supports and the frame construction. This gives the floor a very high "stability" and "load capacity". The "control room floors" are used in data centers, server rooms, switchgear rooms, low-voltage, medium-voltage, and electrical rooms. Hollow floors are closed systems that rest on a support structure. Hollow floors are used for housing supply lines. The hollow space under the hollow floor is very limited and accessible ONLY through inspection openings.
