E.ON Netz was formed from the merger of Preussen Elektra Netz and Bayernwerk Netz. The E.ON Netz supplies more than a third of Germany with electricity. We have lines with a total length of about 32,500 kilometers. We are responsible for a powerful electricity grid from the North Sea to the Alps. Our tasks: As a neutral and legally independent transmission system operator, we plan, design, build, and operate networks at voltage levels of 380, 220, and 110 kV. In the course of network operation, we work closely with national and international transmission system operators, traders, and electricity exchanges. Over 20 million people are supplied with electricity around the clock through the E.ON network.
