The government aims to encourage you as an employer to offer (BB-)work placements through the practical learning subsidy. It is intended as a contribution towards the costs you incur as an employer for training and guidance. Additionally, the practical knowledge ensures that students are better prepared and align more closely with the job market. The practical learning subsidy scheme is therefore a win-win situation for both students and employers. The maximum subsidy amount per participant is €2700. Groups eligible for the subsidy include: - MBO students following a vocational training pathway - VMBO students participating in a work-study program - Technical HBO students (work/study combination) - Employees conducting promotional research The practical learning subsidies have been established to better prepare students pursuing a practical-oriented education for the job market, while also encouraging employers to offer practical training and work placements. Students interested in a practical profession thus have a better chance of securing a work-study position. Employers benefit from better-trained staff through the RVO practical learning subsidy.
