BASTIDARRA

Located in the Basque Country, the company BASTIDARRA produces artisanal yogurts. It manufactures a complete range of yogurts including set or stirred cow's milk yogurts, set sheep's milk yogurts, and sheep's curd. Sheep's curd is a fresh cheese typical of the Basque Country. Our cows are Prim'Holstein. Our sheep are Manex with red heads, a local breed from the Basque Country. We work in partnership with three farms that supply us with all our milk. They are committed to a High Environmental Value (HEV) approach. For their sheep's milk, there are no GMOs, no silage, and dry fodder is systematically preferred to feed the animals. Fertilizer use is limited, and pesticides are only used when truly necessary and in a targeted manner. Similarly, for the packaging of our yogurts, our pots are made of recyclable cardboard, which is rare in dairy production. BASTIDARRA manufactures and markets two distinct brands of yogurts: IBASKI, our brand dedicated to communities (school canteens, town halls), to large and medium-sized retail chains (GMS), and to convenience stores, and EKIA, the brand we developed for creameries, cheesemongers, gourmet shops, and fine dining restaurants.
