ASKU-SCHOLTEN GMBH

ASKU-Scholten GmbH was founded in 1982 in Duisburg to continue in a modified form. ASKU stands for Asmus and Kugelberg. The in-house production of complete, new crane systems was discontinued. The focus shifted to customer-oriented orders such as the relocation or modification of existing systems according to customer specifications, as well as maintenance or spare parts supply. All series of under-sling, couplings, drum or disc brakes were developed based on the company's own experiences of Gebrüder Scholten and ASKU-Scholten in crane construction for use in the iron and steel industry within the company itself. The specifications for asbestos-free linings of our brakes were scientifically examined through over thirty years of collaboration with TU Berlin. ASKU-Scholten is the only manufacturer that has continued the standard part production of Gebrüder Scholten since 1982. The location is Duisburg Homberg. The external warehouse and assembly halls are located in Mülheim an der Ruhr. Of course, the production of our products is subject to a continuous improvement process, for example regarding materials, coatings, or manufacturing processes. Thus, our products meet the current state of the art. The core of the design has never been changed. The high-quality design is simple in the sense of being plain, not primitive.
