What began with a roll of tarpaulin fabric, a trained textile engineer, a trained plant mechanic, and a 6,000 Mark telephone has today become a solid medium-sized company specializing in the confection of technical textiles, employing 15 staff members, with a production hall and top-notch service. Technoplan GmbH was founded in 1991 in Fehrbellin, Brandenburg. Among the founders were the current managing directors Karl Metzdorf and Norbert Kühn. Initially, the company's focus was on manufacturing large, custom-made truck tarpaulins. The company grew, as did the number of employees, and a larger operating site with a spacious office building and attached production and storage hall allowed for an expansion of the product range. Today, Technoplan GmbH is known and sought after beyond Germany for the production of standardized tarpaulin products, such as vehicle tarpaulins, sun and weather protection tarpaulins, and cover tarpaulins, as well as being an expert in the development and confection of individual special solutions. Thus, Technoplan GmbH is a reliable partner for industrial and commercial enterprises, stage builders, architects, in rail and air freight transport, as well as in the environmental and scientific sectors.
