A MELMEQUER Born from family ties, Melmequer was founded in 2017 by three partners who, beyond everything that unites them, share a common love for beekeeping. Ana, Miguel, and Ricardo, with very different life stories, decided to create an exceptional honey of recognized origin. With their own apiaries, so that everyone could access the same product that was part of their experiences in Vidigueira. The result is evident, or rather, to the palate, and caters to all tastes - multi-floral, rosemary, with comb, dried fruits, and honey water. THE HONEY Melmequer honey is 100% sourced from apiaries scattered across the fields of Vidigueira, where rosemary predominates. The region's unique microclimate, populated by shrubs and gentle slopes, gives our honey exceptional quality. Rosemary is one of the main secrets behind our honey, characterized by a very light lemon-yellow color and a velvety consistency with a mild flavor. THE NUMBERS From February to October, our beekeepers visit 25 apiaries daily, where millions of bees work 24 hours a day to feed their queens - and our customers, of course.
