Schmidt Automotive was founded in 1985 by Herbert Schmidt as a "garage operation" in Lippach, Swabia, and today has approximately 400 employees at three locations (2 in Germany and 1 in the USA), generating about €100 million in revenue. Approximately 84% of our business is in Automotive (Daimler / VW) and 16% in general industry. We aim to further expand this 16%. We are a global developer and manufacturer of high-precision and function-critical components and assemblies for leading international OEMs. We are experts in the areas of machining, turning, milling, grinding, honing, and finishing of metal parts (gears, shafts, camshafts) as well as cast and forged parts. We have also been recognized multiple times by Daimler for our work. We actively support our customers in their development processes and assist in functionally and manufacturably sound design, simulation of load conditions, and prototype testing.
