ORTS GmbH has been designing and building for over 45 years: - mechanical cable grabbers - electro-hydraulic grabbers - remote-controlled diesel-hydraulic grabbers - grabbers for biogas plants / biomass - wood grabbers - excavator grabbers - recovery grabbers - crane equipment - load traverses - flat traverse frames - oil recovery grabbers In 1972, ORTS GmbH was founded as a pure design office for grabbers, transport, and handling systems. From 1985, its own manufacturing was added near Lübeck. The business became more international, attracting shipping companies from both domestic and foreign markets as customers, as well as steelworks, port handling companies, and agricultural businesses. ORTS diesel-hydraulic grabbers (DHZ series) are also used for cleaning biogas plants. Our main customers are shipping companies, for whom our grabbers reliably load and unload ships. In every corner of the world. Ports and port authorities, loading and unloading companies, or anyone who needs to move or process "something" are also among our customers. Over the years, several thousand grabbers have been built, which are in use all over the world. The Orts GmbH Maschinenfabrik is a family business near Lübeck and has an export share of about 80%.
