MARIANNE VAN DEN HEUVEL, BEELDHOUWER

Marianne van den Heuvel is a stone sculptor. She creates various types of stone sculptures: custom grave sculptures, grave art, memorial monuments, commemorative sculptures, and special urns made to order that can be placed in a columbarium, urn grave, or in one's own garden. She also makes unique urns for home use, where a portion of the ashes can be preserved. Additionally, she creates garden sculptures, public space sculptures, and monuments. She is one of the founders of the Sculpture School under the Arches in Amsterdam. She teaches stone sculpting at the Sculpture School in Amsterdam and conducts stone sculpting workshops for groups and companies. There are week-long summer workshops for sculpting in Amsterdam. She creates small sculptures and has an online gallery featuring works from her permanent exhibitions in her studio and sculpture garden. Marianne lives and works in Amsterdam. Her sculptures can be found throughout the Netherlands and beyond. She has participated in various sculpture symposia abroad, including in Changchun, China (twice), Yangchin, China, Colombia, Cuba, and Belgium. She is a member of the Memento Memorial Sculptures Foundation and serves on the board of Homemade Productions.
