This ensures that machine knives retain their cutting sharpness for a long time and achieve flawless cutting results. Depending on the application, the knives can also be equipped with various coatings for further optimization. Of course, the best steel quality cannot deliver its advantages in terms of wear resistance and toughness if the hardening and tempering processes are not precisely tailored to this steel quality. Decades of experience guarantee the best results here at Maier-Unitas in collaboration with our partners. Our technicians are always available to advise interested parties on designing the cutting geometry and selecting the right material. Based on our decades of experience in manufacturing machine knives, we have already analyzed cutting tasks together with many customers (even on-site) and improved existing knives. This way, an optimal design of the machine knives can be collaboratively developed.
