The company Heinrich Hütz was founded in 1891 and produced wood drills, marble drills, chisels, and punches. Since 1930, it has been engaged in the manufacture of tapping devices for gas and water pipelines. Currently, the product range also includes devices for tapping oil and district heating pipelines, as well as the production of drills, milling cutters, and other accessories (drill rods, adapters, transition pieces, etc.) for tapping devices. Pipe tools such as pipe cutters, pneumatic motors and saws, testing devices, plugs, couplings, pipe laying devices, centering devices, spark-free tools, and much more are also included in our sales program. Furthermore, gates for tapping gas pipelines without gas leakage have been developed. In 1973, the company Baumgarten & Co. was acquired, and in 1988, both companies merged to form Hütz + Baumgarten GmbH & Co. KG. Around 1980, the development of bubble-setting devices began, and today we can offer devices that operate with and without pre-pressure measurement. A dimension range of DN 50 - DN 700 can be covered. The products are continuously being developed and improved. In mid-1986, the double bubble-setting device type VEW was launched on the market. In 1993, the blocking bubbles were supplemented by the Rugby bubble, and in 1994, the MDS bubble, which can block up to a pipeline pressure of 1 bar, was added to the delivery program. In September 1996, the bubble-setting device size 4 DN 80 - DN 400 for MDS bubbles was approved for series production and included in the sales program. The double bubble-setting device type VEW was the first DVGW-certified bubble-setting device in 2005. Until then, there was only bubble-setting technology for up to 1 bar pipeline pressure. An innovative novelty is the 4 bar bubble-setting technology, which allows gas pipelines to be blocked up to 4 bar pipeline pressure. Since 2011, this device technology has been ready for series production and added to our sales program. Over the years, we have always responded to the special requests of our customers, so custom-made products are not a challenge for us. Therefore, we are the right partner for municipal enterprises and pipeline construction companies.
