The founding of HeVaTech is rooted in a very tragic event. Due to a motorcycle accident, Sigmar Hengge, the head of development at HeVaTech, had to have his left forefoot amputated. Since then, Mr. Hengge has had to wear a prosthesis, which brought about further issues. These include: pressure points, pain from the resulting scar, and knee joint problems due to misalignment. In 2003, he then came across cupping therapy. However, the existing technology was not suitable for these problems, prompting the experienced system and device developer to create his own cupping device with an accompanying cupping head, even expanding existing standards. Classically, cupping therapy is considered a detoxifying procedure aimed at regulating the flow of bodily fluids. Pulsating cupping therapy represents a combination of classical cupping, massage, and lymphatic drainage. This is implemented by overlaying a static negative pressure with vacuum pulses. When applied correctly, the patient experiences a similarly soothing effect as with a classical massage. Furthermore, this technique allows the therapist to manipulate deep tissue layers, thereby releasing blockages and replenishing the tissue with nutrient fluids. It is applied, for example, in cases of osteoarthritis, circulatory disorders, muscle tension, scar treatment, and fascial therapy.
