This enables our team to consistently leave a lasting positive impression on our customers. History The company P. Hauer was founded in 1934 in Aigen im Mühlkreis, Upper Austria, initially as a general partnership. The couple Rudolf and Paula Hauer started as an art publisher, focusing primarily on the trade of devotional items. Shortly after the company was established, Rudolf Hauer, together with a friend, developed a unique business idea: the "Fleißmarkerl" were a reward system for students and altar boys, similar to today’s sticker albums, where they could fill their collection cards with colorful pictures through good performance. In 1936, the first embossing press was acquired, allowing the production of the reward stickers to be brought in-house and meeting the steadily increasing demand, even abroad. From 1948, son Alfred also joined the production team, complementing the founder's keen business sense with technical precision and inventiveness. This combination proved fruitful, and just two years later, a dedicated production building could be established. In the early 1960s, the founding couple Rudolf and Paula stepped back from the company and handed over the management to the next generation, Alfred and Raphaela Hauer. After further expansions, the third generation began to establish itself in the company in the mid-1970s. The two brothers Manfred and Ing. Paul Hauer eventually took over management in 1979. Due to the continuous growth of the company, the space requirements soon exceeded the available capacity, leading to the construction of the current headquarters at a new location in 1986. This building has since been expanded twice, giving us a total operational area of over 2,300 m² today. Through constant expansion of the machinery in all areas (printing, finishing, and further processing) across all generations, we have established a strong and unique base of knowledge and expertise in label production in Upper Austria.
