The origins of the printing company Grafino date back to 1883, when the Graphic Arts Institute L&E Krussig was founded in Burgstädt, Saxony, and operated as a family business until it was forcibly sold to the GDR government. After relocating from the GDR in 1963, the father of the current managing director established a new company in Nordhorn and successfully ran it until 2003. Early on, Herman Krussig shifted the focus of production to the manufacturing of printed packaging. From small beginnings, the company has been steadily developed, and today his son Marcus Krussig leads a modern enterprise that places great importance on environmental compatibility. The chemical printing plate production has been replaced by a modern ctp system, which makes chemical post-treatment unnecessary due to its processless plate development. The inline varnishes used in multicolor offset printing are solvent-free and largely even food-safe. Waste products have been significantly reduced, and the unavoidable residues are collected and reused in a rotational process or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Further processing is carried out on computer-controlled die-cutting and gluing machines, ensuring consistently high quality of the end product. Even today, the focus remains on the production of various packaging types. As a medium-sized company, we can respond flexibly to customer requests, and smaller print runs are also welcome orders. In the future, Grafino will continue to invest in modern facilities and leverage over 50 years of experience in the printing and finishing sector. Especially since the son of the current owner has already stepped into his father's footsteps as an apprentice, bringing new innovative ideas into the company.
