Folien Point GmbH is a medium-sized company that has been manufacturing biaxially oriented polypropylene film (BOPP) under the name Trapalen® for over 13 years. This film is a multi-layer BOPP film made from two or more layers of thin BOPP films. The film composite is produced without adhesion promoters or other additives, ensuring that our customers always receive a pure product from us, which guarantees environmental compatibility and is safe for contact with food. We are technically capable of bonding up to 5 thin BOPP flat films in a single operation. A thermal lamination process is used for this purpose. Due to the low specific density of polypropylene (0.91), we achieve a yield advantage compared to other films with a higher density, as we need to use less tonnage to produce, for example, 100 m² of film. This conserves the environment and resources. Our Trapalen-Folien® are characterized by their very high stability, puncture resistance, and tear resistance due to their multi-layer structure. We supply our films in opaque white or transparent, starting from a thickness of 60µ to 200µ, ensuring that the transparency of our films is not compromised by additional adhesives. Upon request, our Trapalen-Folien® can be equipped with a one-sided or two-sided corona treatment, which is carried out directly in-house. Our Trapalen-Folien® are thermoformable, and due to the very good layer bonding, they achieve a thermoformed film that is very puncture-resistant, tear-resistant, and stable, even at relatively low thicknesses, while still exhibiting very good transparency. The more layers we incorporate into the film, the significantly the puncture resistance and tear resistance increase. For example, our Trapalen-Folien® 150µ was tested by a large German machine manufacturer for thermoforming machines, with very good results. On our roll cutting machines, we can serve our customers with desired widths in a range from 9 mm to 680 mm roll widths, with the core diameter being 76 mm or 152 mm. The running meters per roll can, of course, be determined by our customers depending on the thickness of the individual Trapalen-Folien®. The maximum outer diameter of a roll is approximately 550 mm. Folien Point GmbH is focused on manufacturing its products in an extremely customer-oriented manner. We always strive to keep delivery times as short as possible for our customers, and in individual cases, we set up a call-off warehouse for framework orders, from which our customers can serve themselves "just in time". Of course, we also cut customer film on our machines as a contract service.
