Elegant and striking colonial mansion dating back to 1895. We invite you to discover a true treasure, a paradise among green mountains, on an island in the Atlantic. The extensive and fertile valley of Agaete, at the foot of the Tamadaba ridges, belonged since the 17th century to the heritage of the Manrique de Lara family. Following the Mendizábal disappropriation in the mid-19th century, the fruitful estate fell into the possession of Don Francisco Manrique de Lara, the youngest son of the last majorazgo, who would equip the 173 hectares of Las Longueras with all the technological and agricultural advancements of the time. The small existing rural house was improved, and in its place, the magnificent mansion with a distinct colonial air began to be built around 1895, designed by the great Catalan architect Don Laureano Arroyo Velasco. Converted into a rural hotel at the end of the 20th century, the colonial mansion has since played a fundamental role in the tourism industry of the Canary Islands, standing out for its tranquility, serenity, and silence, which are further enhanced by the sight of the majestic mountains surrounding the estate. As we tour the interior of the house, we admire the typical English-Canarian furniture, established under British influence in the islands throughout the 19th century.
