For over 60 years, we at EBO have been producing high-quality plush toys - often tailored to the individual wishes of our customers. Actually, Erich Bohl was a trained shoemaker when he founded his plush goods factory on March 1, 1954. Together with his wife Gerda, he initially worked in a storage room of his father's shoemaking workshop in Kipfendorf, Upper Franconia. Gerda Bohl took on the creative part. With great skill, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, they created a variety of plush toys. In the beginning, they produced a Fox Terrier, a cat, a monkey, and three different bears. Erich and Gerda Bohl sold their plush toys so successfully that their production space soon became too small. In 1958, they moved their company to its own factory building with an integrated apartment. In the mid-60s, they expanded and purchased a factory building three kilometers away in Haarbrücken. In 1998, the company established a manufacturing and administrative building with an approximately 2000 m2 large warehouse in Neustadt bei Coburg. Since the early years, the company Erich Bohl has supplied renowned German toy wholesalers, purchasing cooperatives, and department stores. Today, our range consists of more than 900 models, all developed and manufactured with great love and care.
