ECOMARK

In 2000, a directive numbered 1980/2000 (EC) was issued under the harmonization laws by the European Union. According to this directive, our country is required to enact an environmental law concerning environmental labels. The directive demands the enactment of this law to ensure the integration of the environmental labeling system into our country. Although the legal regulations on this matter have not yet been completed, the Ekomark© Standard has been prepared to raise consumer awareness and to ensure that manufacturing companies are prepared in their production facilities and methods. In designing this standard, the Eco-Label Regulation 66/2010/EC, issued by the European Union and updated in 2010, has been taken as a basis for certification studies. The criteria outlined in the Ekomark© Standard align with the criteria identified by the European Union on a product group basis. Additionally, our organization has been accredited by a foreign accreditation body, and based on this authority, we grant companies permission to use the Ekomark© Label in their promotional and marketing activities for their products and services. The Ekomark© Label is now recognized in European countries and around the world.
