COOP. CA - COVIMA

Created in July 2005, COOP. CA-COVIMA is an agricultural cooperative for rural development in Ivory Coast. Composed mainly of women (98%), the cooperative's headquarters is located in Bouaflé, in the Marahoué region, in central Ivory Coast. In 2021, the cooperative has over 4,000 producer members spread across 40 sections or villages in the region. Specializing in subsistence agriculture (bananas, vegetables, corn, etc.) and cash crops (coffee, cocoa, cashew nuts, etc.), the cooperative works closely with all its members to offer quality local agricultural products. By re-engaging producers around agricultural activities and socioeconomic projects, the members of COOP. CA-COVIMA collectively commit to meeting the needs of poor populations living in rural areas of the Marahoué region in Ivory Coast, where all of its socioeconomic activities are developed. A farm with a capacity of over 3,000 free-range chickens has also been owned by the cooperative since January 2021. Here, you will find free-range chickens and fresh eggs. In addition to these economic activities, the cooperative is involved in a variety of social, solidarity, and development actions (tailored financial services, infrastructure construction, distribution of agricultural kits, etc.) for the rural populations of Marahoué.
