Every customer receives exactly the product they expect – stable, durable, and visually appealing. HISTORY over 600 rotational molds Bonn Waku GmbH & Co. KG now employs 60 staff and produces products for international companies using over 600 rotational molds. Founded in 1950 with a focus on the storage and handling of de-icing salt, the logical idea emerged to produce plastic containers for salt. This decision led to the establishment of Waku GmbH & Co. in 1986. In 2013, it merged with Albert Bonn GmbH. Over time, consistent investments have been made in new rotational machines, software applications, and milling centers (CNC). For instance, in 2014, the third rotational machine Rotosat C3004 was launched, and in 2018, the third five-axis milling center was introduced. The production and storage area is continuously expanding and now covers 5,000 square meters – where something special happens every day. ROTATIONAL CASTING The rotational casting process is particularly cost-effective for medium and small series and realizes not only basic but also complex geometries for plastic parts. To manufacture the parts, a two- or multi-part mold made of steel or aluminum is filled with powdered raw material. The raw material is heated; it melts and gradually deposits on the mold walls – where the wall thickness of the plastic part can build up layer by layer. After controlled cooling, the finished product is removed.
