Bloch, a family-owned business with a two-century history based in the Grand-Est region, was founded in 1811. It was originally located in Alsace near Strasbourg. In 1870, the company was transferred to Lorraine in the suburbs of Nancy, where it produced soups and broths. It wasn't until the 2000s that the company was acquired by HIGY, refocusing its activities on culinary aids. Under its new name, Auguste BLOCH expanded its expertise to the production of breadcrumbs, available in several ranges: brown, white, toasted seed, corn and herb, as well as an organic breadcrumb. The company is developing its market by also offering various products such as ready-to-use cereal mixes, oatmeal flakes, and culinary aids. The entire range of breadcrumbs is classified as A, and Auguste Bloch ensures compliance with: - the right amount of salt < 1% - the use of rapeseed or sunflower oils - the absence of additives and preservatives - a short supply chain for its flours and the non-use of co-products in its manufacturing.
